Senior leaders wishing to enhance their practice.
Middle leaders aspiring to senior leadership.
This course focuses on the role of team leaders in implementing whole-school policies with their team in a systematic and consistent way. Participants will explore a number of models and theories of leadership and consider the relationship between leadership and management.
Participants will learn about the importance of effective management structures, systems and processes. The course will demonstrate the importance of planning at team level and the need for project management. Participants will learn about the importance of team leadership in managing resources and finance effectively. They will also explore the role of team leaders in understanding and implementing legal frameworks that underpin whole-school policies, for example behaviour management and attendance. The course is underpinned by a focus on the importance of effective communication and meetings that make impact.
